A Shout For – Or Against – Genetically Modified Foods

Don't Images

Genetically modified foods remain the hot topic of this century and generate debate among different groups, and of course, consumers. Indeed, humans have been modifying plants and animals for millennia. We have been altering the genetic makeup of organisms through breeding all through history. What is happening now is just an acceleration of a well-accepted practice.

Nobody wants to introduce something into the ecosystem that would harm people. The most serious concern abut GM foods seems to be the introduction of allergens -- substances causing allergic reactions -- into crops that are free of them.

Do you have any opinion about this issue? Do you have something to say about food regulations in your country? Share what you think with us – and the professionals of the food industry.
