Asia is looking for its first Barista Champion!

The battle between Asia’s best baristas is taking place soon in the first ever Asia Barista Championship 2008, held in Singapore; in conjunction with Food Hotel Asia 2008, from the 22nd – 24th April this year. Asia’s National Champions from Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand will be flying into Singapore especially for this event to fight for the title of Asia Barista Champion.

据报道兰州市注册登记的4000多家餐饮经营场所，由于油烟净化和污水排放设备不完善，给城区带来不可小视的环境污染。春节结束后，随着餐饮经营场所的开业，一场餐饮业的“洁身”行动也在兰州悄然进行。记者获悉，今年起，兰州餐饮企业达不到环保要求的，将被取缔。

Tess was a precocious eight-year-old girl when she heard her Mom and Dad talking about her little brother, Andrew. All she knew was that he was very sick and they were completely out of money. They were moving to an apartment complex next month because Daddy didn’t have the money for the doctor’s bills and our house.
Only a very costly surgery could save him now and it was looking like there was no-one to loan them the money. She heard Daddy say to her tearful Mother with whispered desperation, “Only a miracle can save him now.”
